• Account Registration: Name, email address, password (stored as bcrypt hash).
• Business Listings: Business name, address, phone number, photos, description, operating hours.
• Reviews: Display name, email (not shown publicly), review text, rating, visit date.
• Contact Forms: Name, email, message content.
• Payment: Tier selection and Razorpay-generated payment IDs only. We do not store card numbers or CVVs.

• IP address (anonymised after 30 days)
• Browser type and version
• Pages visited and time on site (via server logs)
• Referring URL

• To publish and maintain business listings
• To respond to enquiries and support requests
• To send transactional emails (listing approval, payment receipts)
• To improve the directory and fix errors
• To detect and prevent fraud or spam
• We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We use only essential cookies required for the site to function (WordPress session cookie, login cookie). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel.

• Razorpay: Payment processing. Their Privacy Policy applies.
• Google Maps API: Used to show business locations on maps. Google's Privacy Policy applies when maps are loaded.
• XAMPP / Apache: Self-hosted server in India. No third-party cloud storage of user data.

• Active listings: Retained as long as the listing is live
• Deleted listings: Purged within 30 days
• Reviews: Retained for 3 years unless deletion requested
• Contact form submissions: Deleted after 12 months
• Payment records: Retained 7 years for GST compliance

Under applicable Indian data protection law (DPDP Act 2023), you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Object to certain processing
• Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India

Igatpuri.org is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us immediately for deletion.
